Documents vs Records

There is a difference between Documents and Records. Documents could be any written, printed, or electronic item. A record on the other hand is an official item that has gone through an approval process and is bound to a particular retention schedule. While a few records are listed below (included generally due to their frequent use on the website), the majority of records are accessed on the City Recorder’s page or through submitting a records request to the City Recorder’s office.
