Effective Nov. 24, Eagle Mountain City will follow guidelines for the high transmission level of COVID-19 on the state index. City offices are open to the public regular hours (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday), however, masks are required in city buildings, and social distancing measures are in place. If you do not have a mask, one can be provided for you. The Senior Center activities are cancelled until further notice. We encourage residents and our community partners to continue to conduct business with the City online or by phone as much as possible. Department Contact Info
Building a safer community through emergency preparedness and providing a coordinated response to natural disasters or public safety crises.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is an opportunity for people from all walks of life to learn valuable basic skills used during disaster response. Some of the skills include fire safety, light search & rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. By using the training learned through CERT, new members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
CERT Training, offered by Unified Fire Authority in Eagle Mountain, is now available online. The next Hands-on Training is tentatively scheduled for September, 2020. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
The Eagle Mountain City Amateur Radio Team welcomes amateur radio operators as well as communication, electronics, hardware, and software enthusiasts.
The City offers classes quarterly for free and the test is $14. Due to the current pandemic, in-person classes are being postponed. However, testing is still being held social distance style! To receive details and register, send an email to Ki6oss6365@gmail.com. We recommend going through the flash cards and practice tests at www.hamstudy.org. The questions are identical to what you will see on the actual exam.
