Pony Express Days is Eagle Mountain City’s annual festival, celebrating our community and its historical ties to the Pony Express Trail. It is usually held from Memorial Day weekend through the first days of June – a great way to start the summer.

Due to construction in the area during the time of our Pony Express Days Grand Parade, the parade route will be adjusted slightly, thus limiting the parade lineup to 75 entries.

The Pony Express Days festival is full of exciting events for the whole family. Visit the carnival where you will find rides for all ages, great food, and challenging games with prizes. The Grand Parade brings the community together as it runs along Pony Express Parkway, featuring floats, bands, horses and candy tossing. This tradition is not to be missed. Enjoy the action at the Rodeo and Demolition Derby, managed by Pony Express Events. Other events include the Pancake Dinner, Family Fun Night, Movie in the Park, EM Symphony Orchestra Concert, Cupcake Charity 5K, and a free Concert & Fireworks. We hope to see you there!

The Pony Express Days carnival will be relocated to Wride Memorial Park for 2019. The carnival will be held May 30, 31, and June 1. Come out and enjoy a night at the carnival, browse the booths, and eat some great food. Local entertainment will be performing.
A general idea of rides and height requirements can be viewed on the Browns Amusements website (please note not all rides featured on website will be present at the PED carnival).
Carnival Ticket Information:
Pre-sale: Sold at City Hall reception desk now until May 29 at noon and EM Schools (excluding Frontier) from April 15 – May 28 (schools receive a portion of the proceeds)
• One-day passes are $20 and can be redeemed at the ticket booth for a one-day unlimited ride wristband, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday
• Schools accept Cash and Check payments only
• City Hall accepts Cash, Check and Debit/Credit Card payments
Buddy Night: Thursday, May 30
• Buddy passes can only be purchased onsite at the carnival between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. (carnival is open until 10 p.m.) Buddy Passes are not pre-sold at schools or City Hall.
• Buy 1 One-day ride pass for $30 and get 1 One-day ride pass for free, can only be used on Thursday night and both people need to be present at time of purchase.
• One-day passes will be $25 at the ticket booth for an unlimited ride wristband
• You may also buy individual ride tickets at the carnival ticket booth. 1 Ticket = $1

The Pony Express Days Grand Parade is a wonderful tradition for residents and visitors alike. It is held annually on the first Saturday in June, starting at 10:00 a.m. Please note – the traditional parade route will be altered this year. More information will be forthcoming. There are prizes awarded in the Grand Parade Float Competition.
The Cupcake Charity of Eagle Mountain is seeking nominations for someone deserving in Eagle Mountain who is in financial need due to extensive medical expenses, death/funeral, or other hardship. The Cupcake Charity will select a recipient who will receive proceeds from the Pony Express 5K in the form of bill payment.
Route 2) Will be for larger dual sport and adventure motorcycles and will consist of beginner and intermediate dirt roads. This route will require riders to have at least a 120-140 mile fuel range. Total route will be 240-280 miles with a fuel stop in the middle; 80% off-road, 20% on-road.
The routes will take riders to the historic town of Eureka for a quick lunch stop at B’s Hangout. Riders will need to be responsible for lunch expenses, camping gear, dinner Friday evening and breakfast Saturday morning. A chase vehicle will be meeting at the Friday night campsite but will not be taking the same routes. If riders need additional gear carried in the chase vehicle, arrangements MUST be made prior to May 31 starting time. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for arrangements.
The event start will be on May 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Eagle Mountain City Hall and the return is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, June 1st. The fee for this event is $25 per motorcycle. Prizes and giveaways will be handed out at the campsite Friday night.
