Construction activities are ramping up this week along key routes in the area, with important updates for motorists traveling near Pioneer Crossing and 800 West, otherwise known as the Mountain View corridor extension.

Pioneer Crossing

Work will continue on the shoulder along the north side of Pioneer Crossing, extending from Crossroads Boulevard to Mountain View Corridor. A key development in this area is the ongoing construction of a dedicated westbound right-turn lane from Pioneer Crossing onto northbound Mountain View Corridor.

Currently, this turn lane is not fully constructed and can only be accessed just before the intersection. Most of the turn lane pocket is temporarily blocked as the contractor excavates the area to widen both the lane and the shoulder.

Motorists using this route should exercise caution and be prepared for possible congestion. The partial blockage may slow down traffic, particularly during peak hours, so it’s advisable to plan for additional travel time if you usually take this route. This phase of the project is expected to continue for several more weeks.

800 West

In addition, the contractor is continuing with utility work, trenching, and excavation on 800 West as part of the road-widening efforts that extend Mountain View Corridor. These activities are crucial for the expansion of this major thoroughfare and will likely impact traffic flow in the surrounding areas.

Safety Reminder

Drivers are urged to be extra vigilant while navigating these construction zones. Always follow posted traffic controls and be mindful of construction workers who may be in close proximity to the roadway.

New and existing traffic controls will remain in place as the project progresses. Your patience and adherence to these guidelines are essential for ensuring everyone’s safety and minimizing disruptions.

Stay tuned for further updates as this work continues.
