A single-family home on Pass Cove in Eagle Mountain suffered extensive interior damage following a structure fire early Wednesday morning.

According to the Unified Fire Authority (UFA), the blaze originated in the basement, quickly spreading through the home’s interior.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after the fire was reported.

While firefighters were able to prevent the flames from causing significant exterior damage, the interior of the home was declared a total loss, according to a UFA spokesperson. The rapid response by UFA crews ensured that the fire was contained quickly.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
