Before it’s time to gobble, Eagle Mountain residents are lacing up for a holiday tradition that combines fitness and fun.

The annual Turkey Trot will once again be held at Cory B. Wride Memorial Park on Thursday, Nov. 28. The event will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and participants are encouraged to arrive on time to secure their spots and enjoy the event from start to finish.

“The Turkey Trot is such a special event that brings our community together,” says City Events Manager Dawn Hancock. “It’s wonderful to see families, friends, and neighbors come out to have fun and stay active.”

The Turkey Trot’s 3.12-mile course invites individuals of all ages and fitness levels to take part.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner looking for a lively Thanksgiving workout or a walker eager to enjoy a relaxed stroll, the event has room for everyone.

The Turkey Trot is not a timed event, so residents can choose their preferred pace. The race is also inclusive of those who prefer to cycle, scoot or push a stroller. Leashed pets are also welcome to join the festivities, making it a true family-friendly event for all to enjoy.

“We love how inclusive this event is whether you’re running, walking, or bringing your kids and pets, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy,” says Hancock. “It’s the perfect way to kick off Thanksgiving Day. Participants get to enjoy the fresh air and some exercise before settling into their celebrations.”

Post-race, participants can look forward to giveaways and refreshments as a reward for their efforts. Items will be available while supplies last, adding an extra layer of excitement and motivation to complete the course.

The Turkey Trot has become a way for Eagle Mountain residents to connect with one another, enjoying exercise before settling into the day’s celebrations.

The Turkey Trot is more than just a race; it’s a chance for residents to take part in a growing Eagle Mountain tradition. This event brings the community together in a lighthearted, energetic setting where fitness meets fun, offering a memorable way to start the holiday.
