Can I install the public infrastructure (roads, utilities, etc.) prior to recording the plat?
Yes, you are required to either install all of the public infrastructure according to approved plans or post a subdivision bond with the City Recorder’s Office
My subdivision plat received approval years ago…is it still valid?
Any subdivision plat approved prior to October 5, 2010 is still valid. All plats approved since that date are only valid for a certain amount of time. Preliminary Plats = 2 years (unless a final plat is approved within that time); Final Plats = 1 year (unless recorded within that time).
