Eagle Mountain City has been named a 2020 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. The City joins 3,600 other communities across the country that have brought attention to the importance of planting trees in neighborhoods and around businesses. The Arbor Day Foundation says trees are vital to combat air quality and water resource issues while improving personal health and energy use. Four forestry requirements must be met, including: a tree board, a tree care ordinance, annual forestry budget and an Arbor Day observance.
