Eagle Mountain City will hold our annual Community Cleanup event on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to Noon. At this event the city invites volunteers from the community to sign up to help with cleanup projects that improve public spaces in Eagle Mountain. Volunteer registration is now closed. Day of walk-ups are welcome.
Check in will be at Wride Memorial Park at 10 a.m. where volunteers will be given breakfast snacks, hats and goodie bags, and necessary supplies to complete projects. Volunteers will meet back at Wride Park to return supplies and lunch will be provided, courtesy of Mortenson Construction/Facebook. Since the event falls on May 4th this year, any volunteers sporting Star Wars apparel or gear will receive a bonus giveaway.
Following the cleanup event, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office – Eagle Mountain Division will host a Meet and Greet event at the park from Noon- 2 p.m., featuring various departments, vehicles and equipment, and information about community programs and services. This event is open to everyone, even if not participating in the cleanup.
Spring cleanup dumpsters for yard, e-waste, and light household waste will be provided by Eagle Mountain City Thursday, May 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, May 3 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dumpsters will be located off of Mid Valley Road, west of Wride Park. Dumpsters will be hosted by volunteers from Mortenson Construction/Facebook. PLEASE make note of what is not accepted and be a good neighbor and do not bring those items to the dumpsters or dump outside of the dumpsters or after hours. The City provides two free dump passes per year per household for other items, available at the reception desk at City Hall. The dump (IRL) will extend their hours on Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. IRL is closed on Sundays.
