Please submit Solar Permits electronically via email to BuildingInspections@emcity.org Make sure to include all of the items on the checklist along with a completed permit application, including the subdivision, lot #, tax serial #. This information can be located at the Utah County website. Also make sure to include all contractors information and the project valuation.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL solar permits done by a 3rd party company must have a Solar Owner Consent Form filled out and signed by the homeowners and notarized. The original will need to be submitted when the permit is picked up. It can be sent electronically with the submittal. THIS FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED AS A SCANNED PDF AND NOT A IMAGE. JPG
The documents will be sent to both the Fire Marshal and to a third party, who will review and notify you of any corrections. Once it has been approved, WE WILL NOTIFY YOU the totals by email and send you a copy of the approved plans. You will need to print out and bring in two hard copies of the approved plans, the notarized consent form, along with payment, so that we may issue the permit at that time. We accept check or credit card and must be paid for in our office. You can pick up the permit anytime during normal business hours Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
