Following the July 4 hiatus, paving is planned to start Thursday, July 5 and continue through next week. Work will occur between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with the following lane impacts possible:
- One-way flagging operations are scheduled to occur west of Ranches Parkway from Thursday through Saturday, July 5-7. One lane will be open with one direction of traffic going at a time. Motorists are encouraged to plan for an additional 10-15 minutes when traveling through this area.
- On Sunday, July 8, crews are scheduled to continue paving east starting at the Ranches Parkway intersection. With a wider road in this area, one lane will be open in each direction at all times.
Motorists are asked to please use caution while driving in the construction zone and to follow the pilot car when it is present in the area.
Original story published 06/22/18:
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is scheduled to begin a paving project on Cory Wride Memorial Highway (State Route 73) the week of June 25. Work will continue through August. The project area will extend from 200 South in Cedar Fort (MP 25) to Foothill Boulevard in Saratoga Springs (MP 35). This 10-mile project will extend the life of the roadway and provide a smoother ride for drivers. The project helps to further UDOT's mission to proactively preserve state roads.
Work will occur Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the possibility of work on the occasional Sunday. All lanes will be open during peak travel times. In some areas, one-way flagging operations may occur with one lane, one direction open at a time.
Motorists should expect minor construction-related travel delays. The construction schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and equipment availability. Drivers are urged to use caution and to follow posted signs when traveling through the construction zone.
