Redwood Road Construction - Updated September 17, 2018

Post Date:09/17/2018 10:00 AM

Update - September 17, 2018

Crews will begin utility and road work on Centennial Boulevard as soon as mid-September. East and westbound lanes will be shifted, but access to Redwood road will be maintained.

Traffic shifts on Riverside Drive will happen mid to late September as crews begin utility and road work in the area.

Ongoing Activities - Phase II

Redwood Road Widening (Lake View Terrace Road to Village Parkway)

Crews are excavating and placing road base materials where the road will be widened. Crews are also relocating and installing utilities, including storm drains, water lines and power lines. Drivers should expect a rough road, uneven lanes, changing traffic patterns and trucks entering/exiting the construction zone. Please drive cautiously through the construction zone.

Pioneer Crossing and Redwood Road CFI (Continuous Flow Intersection)

This week, crews will pave the Pioneer Crossing median west of Redwood Road. Excavation is ongoing on the southeast corner of the intersection. Drivers can expect new traffic patterns near the end of September.

Traffic shifts will be ongoing throughout both areas until construction slows down at the end of November. Nighttime lane closures will be used as needed.

Side Streets

Centennial Boulevard: Utility work and road reconstruction will begin soon. Traffic shifts will be needed to complete the work. However, access to Redwood Road will be maintained.

Bliss Drive and Fairway Boulevard: Utility work is ongoing. Traffic shifts are in place, and access to Redwood Road will remain open.

Ring Road and Stillwater Drive: Shoulder closures and right-turn lane closures will continue while crews work on landscaping, curb and gutter and utilities.

Multi-use Trail

Sections of the multi-use trail on the east and west sides of Redwood Road have been temporarily removed as part of the road reconstruction. There are also sections of sidewalk being reconstructed. Trail and sidewalk users should use caution and follow construction signs.
